New York & Notre Dame, IN, October 11, 2011 – Communications CEO and entrepreneurship author Jennifer Prosek will serve today as the second ever Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Saint Mary’s College, where she will address a mix of Saint Mary’s students and the local Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative.
Prosek was selected for the prestigious lecture opportunity based on her breakthrough leadership model called the “Army of Entrepreneurs™.” Over the course of two days (October 11-12, 2011), Prosek will participate in four events where she will share her insights on entrepreneurship and employee engagement based on her book, Army of Entrepreneurs: Create an Engaged and Empowered Workforce for Exceptional Business Growth, which was published by AMACOM, a division of American Management Association, this past February.
The Army model is based on the idea that every employee’s “inner entrepreneur” can be tapped and developed, and each person can become a powerful force for growth and innovation within an organization. Using the Army model, Prosek grew a small, Connecticut PR firm into an international consultancy, CJP Communications.
Susan Vance, Business Administration Professor at Saint Mary’s College and Project Director of the Saint Mary's College Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) commented that, “It is a privilege for Saint Mary’s women to interact with an entrepreneur of Jennifer’s caliber. Not only does she have an outstanding business management message with her Army of Entrepreneurs concept, but as the founder and CEO of CJP Communications, she embodies the potential that women can achieve when they think ‘big’.”
“Teaching business owners how to utilize the Army model to get the most out of themselves and their employees is the main reason that I wrote this book. I know from personal experience the value that this unique strategy can add to the success of their businesses and ultimately their bottom lines,” said Prosek. “For students just starting out in the business world, developing an owner’s mindset is key to becoming an outstanding employee and an even better entrepreneur. When employees take responsibility for their own career success and align their professional goals with the goals of their company, everyone wins.”
Prosek’s book lays out an easy-to-follow plan for anyone interested in becoming more innovative and entrepreneurial, and developing a more engaged, energetic and productive workforce.
