NEW YORK – May 18, 2011 – CJP Communications (CJP), a leading full-service public relations and financial communications consultancy, has been named one of the top 10 PR agencies in New York and one of the top five in the U.S. specializing in financial communications and investor relations, according to O'Dwyer's annual rankings of independent PR firms.
Rounding out this year's industry rankings, PRWeek's Annual Agency Business Report notedthat CJP grew 11 percent in 2010. The agency experienced top-line growth primarily through its financial services and digital practices.
Jennifer Prosek, founder and CEO of CJP, said growth for the industry and agency alike exceeded expectations in 2010, with corporate spending coming back in the second half of the year. "As the economy continued to improve, we seized opportunities to expand existing accounts and add new names to our already stellar client roster," said Prosek.
Key wins for CJP in 2010 included Oppenheimer Funds, Nomura, E-Trade, Trilantic Capital Partners and Travelers.
"We also continued to see very real benefits of our 'Army of Entrepreneurs' business model," said Prosek, who published a book by the same name in February 2011. "At CJP, every employee, from senior management to the most junior staffer, is encouraged to develop an 'owner's mindset,' delivering quality work and personal service to clients and contributing to the firm's growth. Our success in 2010 is a perfect example of the 'Army' model at work."
In the past year, CJP continued to make strategic investments in its team, including the addition of newly named partner, Russell Sherman. Sherman joined CJP following the acquisition of Sherman Strategic Communications.
