CJP Communications Named Among Top 33 U.S. PR Firms.
Agency Jumps Up Five Spots In PRWeek’s Annual Agency Business Report
NEW YORK – May 17, 2010 – CJP Communications, a leading, full-service public relations and corporate communications firm, announced today that it moved up five spots on PRWeek’s annual ranking of PR firms to #33. The agency boasted a net increase in revenue over 2008, a claim that only 10 other “top 35” firms could make.
“The public relations industry, like most others, was touched by the economic downturn in a very real way. Despite the challenges, we are incredibly proud to have maintained our track record of growth,” said Jen Prosek, CEO and owner of CJP Communications. “By remaining nimble in our approach, while staying true to our mantra of being a clever, witty and quick agency, we were able to expand existing client relationships while welcoming a number of new clients to the CJP family.”
Key wins for CJP in 2009 included GMAC, IKEA and Aflac
The firm, which also ranked among the top 20 Northeast agencies -- #18 overall -- saw total global revenue increase to $9,042,735 in 2009.
CJP continued to make strategic investments in its team, hiring a number of senior executives. “In true CJP fashion, we could not sit idle,” Prosek said. “We were fortunate enough to bring on a number of dynamic individuals who we feel will help us continue to grow and flourish for years to come.”
PRWeek’s annual rankings are based on revenue, which is defined as fee income earned in the U.S., markup on billable items, and, when applicable, advertising commissions up to 10% of fee income. Revenue from subsidiaries and affiliates was not included if there was less than 50% ownership. The rankings are currently published in the PRWeek Agency Business Report.
