Industry Veteran Eric Blinderman Joins Team CJP
New York (Dec. 1, 2006) – Eric Blinderman, a public relations professional with more than 20 years experience, has joined CJP as a managing director in its Connecticut and New York city offices.
Blinderman will work directly with Managing Partner Jen Prosek on top accounts, new business, firm management and professional development. Because of his extensive experience, Prosek said Blinderman will also serve as a counselor for client issues ranging from crisis communications to strategic and creative support.
Blinderman has executed numerous communications and public relations efforts including campaign development and strategic counsel, product revitalization and new product launches, issues management, corporate public relations and media training.
Prior to joining CJP, Blinderman was a senior communications consultant to public relations agencies and select companies, including Microsoft/MSN and Novartis. He also served as Executive Vice President/Group Manager at Weber Shandwick New York, and spent 14 years at Fleishman-Hillard's New York office, wearing two hats: serving as chair of the agency's Business-to-Consumer practice for the Americas, and overseeing several of the marketing group’s largest accounts. He was also the office’s first director of development, overseeing several multi-office new business efforts and serving as liaison to other Omnicom companies.
Blinderman is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in communication arts, and completed the Department of Defense Information School’s Public Affairs Officers Course.
Eric resides in Fairfield, Conn., with his two children.
