Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek Earns National Graphic Design Award

New York and Stratford, CONN. – March 7, 2005 – Creative Director Dave Zamba and Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek (CJP) Communications earned a 2004 American Graphic Design Award for creation of the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles’ emissions Website, www.ctemissions.com. The user-friendly site provides advanced real-time search capabilities that allow vehicle owners to find their test date, local testing facilities and program information.

"We’re thrilled to receive such a prestigious design award for this important statewide consumer education program," explained Dave Zamba, creative director at Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek Communications.

"The project’s challenge was presenting a large amount of information in the most user friendly way possible. The homepage provides a simple portal to answering the key questions any driver would ask about the emissions program," said Zamba. "In addition to letting drivers find their vehicle test date, the site also provides a searchable database of test locations, a hotline number and detailed information about the entire emissions program."

The site’s subliminal design features colors that are like a traffic signal. "We wanted to use a visual metaphor that drivers could relate to," added Zamba.

The Website launched in September 2003. CJP handled the creative concept and production for the Website, along with other collateral materials.
