Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek Selected as World Gold Council's U.S. Public and Investor Relations Advisor
New York, April 17, 2007 – Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek Communications (CJP), a leading independent full-service communications firm, today announced that it has been selected by the World Gold Council (WGC) as its U.S. communications advisor of record, with a particular focus on promoting WGC’s Investment Research & Marketing program. In this role, CJP will be responsible for increasing the awareness of the investment attributes of gold for current and potential investors, as well as increasing WGC’s visibility in the financial press.
WGC’s Investment Research & Marketing program was developed with the goal of providing investors with the resources required to make an informed decision about investing in gold. This is achieved by targeting specific geographies, including the U.S., and offering a wealth of analytical research resources and outreach activities to promote investor education as to the nature of gold as an investment and to encourage long-term investors to make a strategic allocation to gold.
Jen Prosek, Managing Partner of CJP, commented, “We are honored to be selected by the World Gold Council for this very important assignment. CJP will provide the necessary counsel, resources and support required to assist in the WGC’s efforts to further advocate gold as an investment vehicle in the U.S. The World Gold Council will complement our current roster of blue-chip international clients in the financial-services industry. We welcome the WGC to the CJP family.”
Katharine Pulvermacher, Managing Director, Investment Research & Marketing, of WGC, said, “Over the past several years we have increased our efforts in raising awareness of gold as an investment consideration. Recent market dynamics have only served to increase gold’s attractiveness. The U.S. represents one of the major markets to be addressed under our advocacy and education program, and CJP will be instrumental in helping us achieve that goal. CJP has the track record, experience and resources required to assist the WGC as we enter the next phase of our advocacy and education program. We look forward to a long and rewarding partnership.”
