Orange U. Discover, Inspire, Engage
At CJP, we’re so serious about staff development and training, we’ve got our own internal university. Called Orange U, it has grown to include several all-day events and regular half-day workshops. Our goal is to develop and nurture the talents and abilities of our staff so they can advance professionally and raise the overall quality of the agency.
Specifically, we have two company-wide professional development days and quarterly half-day sessions each year that include outside speakers. Topics have included leadership and management, digital media strategies, client retention strategies, media relations, crisis communications and presentation skills. Orange U. also includes in-house workshops throughout the year.
In addition to our skills-oriented workshops, we hold at least two sessions per year on new business development, networking and business generation. We believe strongly that a healthy agency has an “Army of Entrepreneurs” creating and spotting opportunities every day, and that being a contributor to our bottom line adds knowledge and financial rewards that are at the heart of how a professional services firm operates.
In-House Workshops
With a team consisting of MBAs, former financial journalists, in-house corporate communications executives, investor relations and financial PR agency professionals, CJP has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Orange U’s in-house courses tap into our internal network of experts and create an educational forum for discussion, exploration and professional growth.
Specifically, these courses are divided into two tracks that allow our team to better serve our clients by understanding their unique challenges: PR Spotlight and Industry Focus.
- PR Spotlight courses address best practices in PR, from media pitching to bylined articles to creative campaigns, enabling our employees to increase their value to clients.
- Industry Focus sessions delve into background information, issues or topics relevant to CJP’s various client-focused industries including the IPO process, social media and alternative investments.
